Dr. Franz has been practicing psychiatry in Orange County since 2001. She is interested in understanding the biological, psychological, and social factors that contribute to psychiatric illness and takes a multidisciplinary approach to treatment.

She specializes in the following conditions in all patients who are at least 18 years old:

-Psychiatry Residency including year as Chief Resident at
    Stanford University Medical Center
-M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine
-Postdoctoral research in the Department of Psychiatry at
    the University of Pittsburgh
-Postdoctoral research in the Department of Endocrinology at
    the University of Pittsburgh
-Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Brown University
-B.A. in biochemistry from Cornell University
